What Is Scarlet RF Micro-Needling?
Scarlet is a minimally invasive treatment designed to trigger skin tightening effects by delivering radiofrequency (RF) energy into the subdermal tissue through micro-needle channels. Each micro-needle acts as an electrode that emits pulses of RF energy into the dermis, generating heat that stimulates collagen production. Treatments are convenient, safe and customizable. By working within the deeper layers of your skin, Scarlet achieves long-lasting results that go beyond topical rejuvenation.
How many treatments will I need? How long does it take before I see improvement?
Some visible results, like firmer skin, can be seen immediately while the results of dermal remodeling appear gradually over 2 to 3 months as collagen and elastin fibers regenerate. The results of a single treatment can last 6 months to a year following one treatment, a series of treatments may be recommended to achieve the optimum result.
How long does a treatment take?
We book 2 hours for this treatment. We numb for 1 hour and the actual treatment time is about 30 minutes for the face and neck. After each treatment we apply a calming mask and allow time under our LED lights to reduce redness and swelling.
What to expect with your Scarlet treatment?
For a few hours after your treatment, redness and some swelling can be expected. Your skin may feel warm like you’ve had a mild sunburn or wind burn.
What is the recovery time?
There is minimal downtime, and many patients return to their regular daily activities immediately following a Scarlet treatment.
